Organization: Always have a notebook for each class. Make sure you have a pencil case/pouch for your pencils, pens, and erasers. Have a separate folder for each class. You should get a trapper to keep your notebooks, folders, and pencil case/pouch protected.

Get a stretchy book cover to keep your math, reading, science, and/or English book protected from any damage. Be careful that the book cover fits properly because it might ruin the binding if it is too small. If you don't want to buy a book cover, use a brown paper bag.
